In honor of it being exactly one year since I tore my PCL, PLC, sprained my ACL, severely bruised my tibia and had to have my knee reset. Little did I know when I woke up that morning that I’d be faced with the hardest challenge that night, one I still struggle with daily. These last twelve months have been anything but easy, and if someone were to ask me what my biggest fear is, it’d be having to relive them again. Through this experience, however, I’ve seen so much growth in myself, and potential I would’ve never known I had if I hadn’t gone through it. I’m reminded often just how lucky I am to be alive, and that things could’ve been so much worse. So when days get hard, I try to remember that. Life definitely took a different turn than I had planned but I’m stronger because of it. And for that I’m grateful.
