In honor of it being exactly one year since I tore my PCL, PLC, sprained my ACL, severely bruised my tibia and had to have my knee reset. Little did I know when I woke up that morning that I’d be faced with the hardest challenge that night, one I still struggle with daily. These last twelve months have been anything but easy, and if someone were to ask me what my biggest fear is, it’d be having to relive them again. Through this experience, however, I’ve seen so much growth in myself, and potential I would’ve never known I had if I hadn’t gone through it. I’m reminded often just how lucky I am to be alive, and that things could’ve been so much worse. So when days get hard, I try to remember that. Life definitely took a different turn than I had planned but I’m stronger because of it. And for that I’m grateful. by @allierskine

7 months ago -> now! I’ve come so far and it’s been so rewarding!! I started a get-back-to-running program last week and am so ready to get back to where I was pre-injury!! Grateful everyday this accident wasn’t any worse and for the life I get to keep living!! by @allierskine

This makes 6/6. It’s only been a few hours and I already miss Briggs so much! Life won’t be the same without him for the next 2 years and while his void will be felt every single day, I can’t wait for the people of Mexico to meet my favorite person.

Briggs is bold in his testimony of the gospel. He leads by example, and his relationship with Christ is one I continually strive to have. He’s a light, and I know he’ll change so many lives for the better, just as he has mine. I’ll be forever grateful to a loving Heavenly Father for letting me be his older sister.

You’re going to do so much good, Elder Erskine! I can’t wait to see you again!! ❤️ by @allierskine

There’s too much good to say about my amazing dad! I’ve always wanted to be just like him, and will continue to strive to be the kind of person he is. He’s set the bar high, and I know he’ll always be in my corner. The most ambitious and dependable man I know. I’m the luckiest to have been raised by someone as great as him. My best friend since day one. ❤️ by @allierskine

The last high school grad 🎓🥹 I’ve loved having a front row seat to Briggs’s life!! This weekend was all about him, and there’s no one I’m more proud of. by @allierskine

This woman means everything to me. I’m learning more than ever just how much I need her in this life, and feeling so grateful that I have her by my side.

Our lives have matched up pretty similarly, which I didn’t realize meant I’d also be having knee surgery at 25 haha… but because she’s been through it, she knows how I feel. And I’ve needed that. She’s pulled me through the biggest ruts and continues to be my loudest cheerleader.

So to the woman who dropped everything to drive up to Utah for an open-ended stay and help me.. God knew I needed you, and I’ll never be able to thank Him enough. ❤️ by @allierskine
