![A haunted house but it’s just people giving you unsolicited advice for your multi-systemic neuroimmune disease
NB I’m not saying that people can never give any useful advice, but most of the time it’s stuff chronically ill people have already heard and are more than aware of. Often it’s harmful and uninformed.
ME and many other misunderstood diseases do not have approved treatments or cures. That doesn’t mean there aren’t treatments or lifestyle changes that can help. But work on the assumption that chronically people are already doing everything they can to help themselves. Work on the assumption that people do not want your unsolicited advice unless they state otherwise. Believe me, we’ve already heard it.
What’s the most ridiculous advice you’ve been given?
Also, please appreciate my very low energy methods of pretending to be different people without being able to leave my room, do my make up or drastically change my outfit 😆.
Mutual Aid
Please support my friend Bowie who has insufficient care with progressing very severe ME and urgently needs to access a medical mattress to prevent bed sores.
