I actually have a largely Mennonite background, and I've definitely noticed this. I have a number of Mennonite cape dresses that I made before I became Catholic.

My sister is part of a Mennonite church and she wears these dresses! Although she also does wear prints and patterns and not just the plain colors. But the pattern is the same.

Even the modified habit and veil are okay ….. … many wear regular clothes…. I love the outward sign of the inner commitment 🤍🖤‼️

As a Catholic living near / in a Mennonite community yes I noticed . Roman Catholic priest (Frisian) Menno Simons (1496– started the mennonite church . So maybe that’s why they look so much alike
