UNDERCOVER: PASTOR AT KANSAS DEMOCRAT SENATE CANDIDATE ADAM HAMILTON'S CHURCH AFFIRMS "TRANS MEMBERS!”

“We’re part of Pride Fest every year!”

"We do queer weddings here. We did them before when we weren't supposed to."

That's Pastor Lydia Kim, Pastor of Connection and Care at Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas — "the church that he built," where Hamilton is senior pastor — speaking to an undercover journalist.

Asked whether Hamilton is "against drag queens": "No, he's a Democrat."

"Some of my favorite volunteers are trans, like you would never know."

"One of our churches in our Great Plains Conference... Urban Abbey... they actually do a Drag Queen Story Hour. It's fabulous, actually."

"They actually got a bomb threat. And we as a church responded... some of the drag queens are members of that church. And so we sent money to help with security."

"And all your pastors are...?" "Open and affirming."

"We actually have a pastor whose literal job is community justice."

When my wife Megan and I first met, it was around Halloween, and she told me her favorite candy was Butterfinger. None of my nephews liked them, so they were always left at the bottom of their trick-or-treat bags.

Naturally, I collected every single one and brought Megan a whole bag at school. The next day, she brought me a bag of my favorite candy, Snickers.

That started a little tradition of us buying each other our favorite candy. All these years later, we still do it.

So for her birthday, I’m turning her favorite candy into a Butterfinger croissant. Hopefully, I can get it just right. ❤️

None of this would be possible without her. She’s my partner in life, in the bakery, and on this channel. Behind everything we’ve built is so much of her love and hard work, and I’m forever grateful for her.

Happy birthday. ❤️ #bakery #dayi̇nmylife #butterfinger #kidsnarration #dad
