February is eating disorder awareness month.

With that being said I would like to talk about my experience with my eating disorder…

I was diagnosed in march of 2025 by my doctor who looked at me like she was scared for me. I remember being so confused because to me I was fine I didn’t need help or so I thought.

March 13 I was admitted inpatient at a facility to help me with my disorder. I will forever be grateful for my team, my family and friends and for the people I met while I was there.
I was discharged mid July and since then have continued my journey in recovery! It’s not easy but it’s better than the alternative which is struggling day in day out not knowing if I would wake up the next morning or not being able to go out with friends and family or even just having me and my personality. Recovery is not always a smooth journey but I’m trying my hardest everyday to continue to show up for myself and prove that I can get better and not become another statistics… 10,200 deaths occur annually- one every 52 minutes.

In the picture below I was stuggling bad and nobody knew including myself. This just goes to show to please check in on your loved ones and also check on yourself.

I remember being so scared to admit i had a problem because it meant i failed… but i didnt not fail instead im taking this as a chance to share my struggles and my story to maybe help someone else who feels ashamed. I promise you theres nothing to be ashamed about we all have our struggles! Youre not alone 🫶🏼

Things get better I promise it’s not sunshine everyday but you can’t have flowers without rain🌸🌷

I am so unbelievably proud of you and how far you have come. I know I couldn't have gone through that traumatizing experience without you and thank you for every minute you have made my recovery process just a little bit easier. You are one of the strongest people I know never give up on yourself. I love you endlessly ❤️
