The other night Nova told me she’s been writing poetry & asked if she could read it to me. I got so excited because I love poetry & have been writing since I was about her age. She’s only 11 years old. So admittedly I wasn’t expecting something super profound or deep if I’m being completely honest.

But then she read the title first “Jane Doe’s Bows” & I was a bit shocked. Because I talked to her about Jane Doe’s situation one morning when she saw it on the news. So we had a long, intense, but necessary conversation. I thought that was it. She never mentioned it again or asked any more questions about it.

Then she started reading it out loud & I just had to record it. Because after she was done. I was very moved & so impressed with her capacity to not only understand such complex situations, but the ability to alchemize them into art.

I’m SO proud of this girl! She never ceases to amaze me & I’m so blessed & honored to be her father! 🥹🫶😭🙏 #GirlDad #NovaleeReign #WomensRights #JaneDoe #Cornell

⚜️HAPPY BOLTGUN 2 RELEASE DAY⚜️
I am so, so unbelievably honoured to be a part of the Warhammer 40k universe, voicing Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath. I think 14 year old Alanah reading James Swallow books on repeat might’ve died if I told her I’d get to do this one day - my eternal thanks to the wonderful team @aurochdigital for asking me to be a part of something so near and dear to my heart, and in a BOOMER SHOOTER no less 🔥🔥🔥.
NOW GO PLAY IT, FOR THE EMPEROR!
