Reliance Jio chairman Akash Ambani said India was ranked 155th in the world in internet consumption before Jio’s arrival and has since become number one. He made the remarks while addressing the Jio Conference.

Ambani said internet consumption in the country has kept rising since Jio entered the market in 2016. He credited the telecom operator’s entry with driving the sharp increase in data use across the country.

A slide shown during his presentation referred to data consumption per customer of 43.7 GB and to a comparison with other operators over the last three years.

Jio began commercial services in September 2016 and is now India’s largest telecom operator by subscribers. Its entry set off a price war that sharply cut mobile data rates across the industry. Low-cost data plans are seen as having pushed millions of Indians online for the first time, boosting the use of video streaming, social media and digital payments.

Data consumption in India has grown rapidly over the past decade, driven by cheaper smartphones, widespread 4G coverage and rising demand for online entertainment, education and financial services. Ambani said the company will continue to focus on expanding access and improving the digital experience for users across the country.

Workouts with friends are the best.

Crushed a session with @Thomasdelaeur fueled by honey and beef 💪🏼

I’ve known @thomasdelauer for almost 10 years now. We haven’t always agreed on things, but we agree on most.

Honey is healthy for humans.
Beef is super-food.
Being outdoors is essential for human health.
Sunlight feels great and is good for humans in moderate doses..

Sharing workouts is fun. Sharing ideas is fun. Learning along the way is what it is all about.

Grateful for people in my life like Thomas that are always up for a hard workout and getting ideas into the world to help people.
