Another final, another wildcard opportunity that was so close. This one hurts a little❤️ First, I really want to thank @hotelplannertennistour for what they’re doing for players. $4,000 for the finalist and $8,000 for the winner that can go toward flights, hotels, and other travel expenses. If you’re playing professional tennis, you know how much that helps. These opportunities really mean so much. A month and a half ago, I was playing for a wildcard into a WTA 500 when I fell and injured my ankle. Three weeks in a boot, very little training since, and somehow here I was again, in another final, fighting for another opportunity. 5 matches in 3 days in this Florida heat, including a tough three-setter yesterday morning before the final. And I knew I wasn’t physically ready for that much tennis. But I wanted to give myself a chance anyway. Of course I’m disappointed. I wanted this one badly. But I’m also proud of what I managed to do with the little preparation I’ve had.And honestly, I’m just so grateful to finally be healthy again. Now it’s time to get some consistent training in, get my body back where it needs to be, and really push. Because I know I have so much more in me. Huge congratulations to @adri_reami , who played an amazing match yesterday! So well deserved, and wishing you the best of luck at the WTA 125 tournament in Mexico! ❤️ And having my boys there watching me compete made this weekend even more special. Of course I wanted them to see me win, but I hope they’re also learning something from watching me lose. That you can give something everything you have, fall short, and still get up and try again. I have no idea where this comeback will take me. I’m still figuring so much of it out as I go, trying to balance being a mom, traveling, competing, and everything else that comes with it.But I know I’m not done trying. And as long as I keep giving it everything I have, I won’t have regrets. Thank you to everyone who messaged me, and continues to support this journey. Back to work. ❤️🎾 #TennisComeback #MomAthlete #GoingForIt

Trudeau's cabinet ran on Kleenex. That's not us. That's his deputy prime minister. In her new book, Chrystia Freeland writes: "Crying was routine at cabinet meetings. There were always boxes of Kleenex on hand, and really sad colleagues would sometimes get a hug from the PM." She writes that Trudeau gave a female colleague a "long, harsh public scolding" for saying "crazy." The approved replacement? "Bananas." Freeland says it "sometimes went along with what seemed like bullying." These people ran a G7 country for nine years. Bananas is right.
