My essay “Stillness in the Turning” is available in volume 2 of Meander Magazine 🌀

This piece is about weathering life storms and accepting change. Storms are freaking scary—they symbolize profound change through intense purification. And whenever they loomed, I ran as fast as I could.

But eventually, you can’t outrun your own tempest. Last year, I was confronted with a storm I couldn’t escape. It reveals everything I didn’t want to see. It left me weak, sick but also lighter and freer. I feel so lucky to have received that much support and guidance—because that storm hit like a comet.

If you are going through a stormy season, may you find the courage and support to let it move through you and become anew.

“These times are not an ending but a necessary decomposition before renewal. The compassion we need most is not just for others, but for ourselves and for the shadow parts we have rejected and are currently witnessing.”
