We are overwhelmed by the power and celebration of legacy. THANK YOU to all who supported our production of “What We Hold” at Mark Morris Dance Center last weekend💜
It is with heartfelt love, respect and joy that Gerri Houlihan and Marta Renzi could collaborate on this project, and that we were able to honor and embody the legacy of none other than Liz Thompson. Without her belief and support, these dances wouldn’t exist. The butterfly effect of the seeds planted, ideas realized, and support given to artists under Liz’s direction at Jacob’s Pillow more than 40 years ago is deeply felt and resonant in the current dance landscape.
From the dancers of PSD- it was a privilege of a lifetime to be able to breathe life back into these works and taste the essence, culture, and experimental spirit of how these works and intertwined lineages came to be. 💫
