POSTS STORIES REELS

These moments captured by @mwirthphotography fully encapsulate what I’ve been feeling within myself this past year, and it’s WILD to not just feel it, but to see it with my own eyes. The opportunity to work with Martha and these photos came to me at the perfect time- I’m so grateful to her for capturing this energy so magically! 🤍

Taking a moment to be humbled by my experiences in a place that has shaped me into who I am. Thank you @purchasedance for such a warm ‘welcome home’ for a brief moment this week.

To share my experience, growth, perspective and love for my craft with the fierce and hungry artists of Purchase Dance this week was a moment of pure joy and appreciation.

Don’t forget to look back every once and a while to remember how far you’ve come, what you’ve achieved, and what/who has brought you here🧡💙 •

‘Women’s Stories’ has touched my soul in ways I never thought possible. To be the first female-identifying artist to embody the role of Orpheus in Limón’s ‘Orfeo’ has made me feel so seen. This role encompasses all I strive to be: powerful, vulnerable, daring, fighting against all odds, making the attempt regardless of outcome, brave, bold, beautiful, allowing light to slip through the cracks despite challenge and heartbreak, to find reason, intention and purpose to fuel my actions, to relinquish control.

The women of this company have broken barriers, held one another as we’ve gone through intensely beautiful cycles of transformation, and are the epitome of versatility, generosity, and grit.

@mariahgravelin @deepaleaps @savannahspratt @jessgambellur @frances_samson @nattata42 , You all make me brave. You all make me proud. You all fill my heart with so much reverence and awe.

To the women of this legacy who came before us, thank you for your courage, encouragement, and setting the precedent that we hold the power to bring about change, and can be everything we want to be and more. To the women who will come after us, your perspective, spirit, voice and humanity, in all its messy glory, have a place in this work always.

Thank you @dantepuleio for creating a world in which artists can discover, reinvent, and celebrate themselves without limitation.

Mariah- we’ve been on this journey together since day 1, and to have made history with you has been the greatest honor. Endless thank you’s for everything you are, and everything you bring out in me.

If you made it to the end of this really long letter of gratitude, thank you for your love, time, and support. It means the world to me💜

We are overwhelmed by the power and celebration of legacy. THANK YOU to all who supported our production of “What We Hold” at Mark Morris Dance Center last weekend💜

It is with heartfelt love, respect and joy that Gerri Houlihan and Marta Renzi could collaborate on this project, and that we were able to honor and embody the legacy of none other than Liz Thompson. Without her belief and support, these dances wouldn’t exist. The butterfly effect of the seeds planted, ideas realized, and support given to artists under Liz’s direction at Jacob’s Pillow more than 40 years ago is deeply felt and resonant in the current dance landscape.

From the dancers of PSD- it was a privilege of a lifetime to be able to breathe life back into these works and taste the essence, culture, and experimental spirit of how these works and intertwined lineages came to be. 💫
