At the Edge of Definition: sabukaru Presents VERNONLINE Vernon [@vernonline] has always existed across multiple boundaries, between cultures and languages, between the mainstream and the underground, between who he is in public and who he is when the cameras are not deciding what that means. VERNONLINE is a project that starts from that condition and follows it outward. K-pop itself no longer fits inside a single image or set of conventions. As different genres, languages, images and cultures continue to intersect and merge, the scope of what exists under the name of K-pop keeps expanding, and Vernon has spent more than a decade moving through that expansion, carving out a space of his own while continually exploring what lies beyond its familiar edges. The project takes his tastes and attitudes as its entry points and explores what emerges at the intersections where different worlds meet, overlap and blur into one another, the dimensions of Vernon that exist beyond the established image of a K-pop star. Boundaries may appear fixed and distinct, but in reality they are constantly shifting, overlapping and bleeding into each other. In that landscape, it becomes increasingly difficult to determine where one side ends and another begins, or where exactly we belong. The title came from his Instagram username, vernonline, read two ways simultaneously. Vernon and line, with line meaning a boundary. Vernon on line, meaning someone standing directly on one. Both readings fit the project and neither one cancels the other out, which is also the point. What a run, y’all. Had one heck of a time out on the #WordOnTheStreetTour this summer. Can’t thank y’all enough for letting me do what I love again and again each year. And thank you to the LBO for making these shows so great and all these talented artists that warmed up the stage for me every night. Love y’all and can’t wait to see y’all out on the road soon.
Happy Birthday @iamcardib The Best Boss Who Change My Life This Year Thank you for making me a better version of myself and taking me on tour , giving me a chance and getting to see many different cities I never seen. Thank you for being generous , inspiring , loving , not just to me but to many ! You are more than just the greatest female rapper , you are an amazing parent, you bring laughter to people all around , the energy that makes us feel younger. Not many rappers do what Cardi does , very rare… the generosity and love. Love you Cardi. HAPPY BIRTHDAY !
Adrien Broner GOES OFF on his team after they refuse to take him to a BAR, demanding the same RESPECT they show DeenTheGreat because he pays HALF THE BILLS 💀 “Don’t play with me. I pay half of all this. Don’t play with me like how y’all don’t play with Deen.”
Grief doesn’t have a “look.” People don’t walk around with signs on their backs telling the world what they’re carrying (although sometimes I wish we did). So many people are fighting battles silently, even on the days they’re smiling, laughing, and seemingly doing just fine. Let this be your reminder to treat others with more patience, and more kindness.❤️‍🩹 #grief #loss
