Proud of this achievement. 5 years sober. One thing I have learned since day 1 is that when overcoming obstacles there are often many layers. You have to start somewhere, keep pushing, keep picking yourself up, keep committed to yourself, keep fighting, and keep smart, and keep yourself safe. Strategy is huge, and protecting yourself from harm during vulnerable periods is vital. Unfortunately, more often than not, no one is coming to save you. You have to find strength and outsmart and beat what is infront of you. Finding sobriety requires a level of selfishness and self care that people often lose on their decline. Today, I am thinking of those currently struggling, and their family and friends. ❤️
