URGENT 🚨 Tommy Egann (5Yrs) *owner surrendered for being aggressive, previous owner states: “child threw objects at dog and he bite him” Behavior team notes: He was very wary of the runner and would retreat or shake the loop leash off when she tried placing it over his head. Anytime it came close to going over his head, he would bite and hold it. The runner had a handler take over to remove him from his kennel. He remained defensive and fearful with the handler and continued biting at the leash. The leash was eventually placed over his head and once out, walked next to the runner with no pull. He was very wary of the handler in the pen. Side-eyeing him with a tense body and flinching with each touch. The handler did not feel safe placing the collar around his neck and he was brought in on a loop leash. He was not interested in greeting any dogs and kept to himself as he slowly explored the yard. A female pit bull and male terrier came up to him calmly. Tommy was tense with wide eyes but tolerated them sniffing his body. He walked way after a few seconds and did not return any greetings. As he resumed exploring, he walked by a handler. The handler kneeled next to him and rubbed his lower back. Tommy froze, closed his mouth, and turned his head towards the handler’s hand with wide eyes as he was not comfortable with the contact. He resumed exploring, keeping to himself. The second handler kneeled next to him and Tommy froze once again, side-eyeing the handler with wide eyes. He did not interact with any other dogs for the remainder of his stay in the yard.
