8 months agoThis made me think of Barbara Johnson. Who? Honestly, a random British lady who lived 1738-1825 and kept an album of labeled fabric scraps from the dresses she had made through her lifetime, which has become an invaluable source of information for historians! I’ve been reading “Jane Austen’s Wardrobe” by Hilary Davidson and Barbara Johnson is mentioned on nearly a quarter of the pages so far.
