PAC’s closing reception for Crafting Curiosity ended with a special sound performance by exhibiting artist Chris Kallmyer, activating the bells he designed and fabricated for the exhibition. Developed over several months, these sculptural instruments filled the gallery with a collective sound work in front of a packed house, a perfect way to close the exhibition! Thank you to all participants, exhibitors and attendees for a great closing reception.

🚨 KATIE ZACHARIA SPENT YEARS ON NATIONAL TV AS A “LEGAL ANALYST” BUT WHERE IS THE LAW LICENSE?

The Wall Street Journal reported that Katie Zachariah took the California bar exam after graduating from Pepperdine Law School in 2011—and failed. Reporting has also raised questions about whether she was ever admitted to practice law in the jurisdictions where she has lived.

Yet for years, Zachariah has appeared on television as a legal and political commentator, with Fox News introducing her using legal-analyst and attorney-related titles.

She has also been associated with claims of legal work in China, including a general counsel role.

So here is the question the public deserves answered:

HOW CAN SOMEONE BE PRESENTED AS A LEGAL AUTHORITY FOR YEARS IF THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN LICENSED TO PRACTICE LAW?

Let’s separate the issues:

⚖️ Appearing on TV as a legal analyst is not automatically illegal. People can discuss legal issues without being licensed attorneys.

⚖️ Practicing law without authorization is illegal. The law depends on the jurisdiction and the specific conduct.

⚖️ Misrepresenting professional credentials can have major consequences. Whether a legal violation occurred depends on the statements made, the circumstances, and the applicable law.

And a television introduction is not proof of a law license.

The Associated Press has reported on a complaint asking California’s State Bar to investigate whether Zachariah misrepresented her credentials. A complaint is not a finding of wrongdoing—but it raises questions that deserve answers. It gets even more concerning given her association with the White House press secretary role. For a position speaking on behalf of the administration, rigorous vetting should be nonnegotiable. Who verified her credentials, and what background checks were conducted? The public deserves answers.

THE PUBLIC DESERVES TRANSPARENCY. PERIOD. Especially if they are paying her salary as a public servant and Press Secretary.
