Get paid to work at the ends of the Earth. 🇦🇶❄️

The Australian Antarctic Program is recruiting for more than 200 contracts for its 2027/28 season, with opportunities for electricians, carpenters, mechanics, plumbers, chefs and other specialists.

Contracts range from six months to more than a year, supporting remote research stations in one of the most extraordinary environments on the planet.

Pay depends on the position. Chef and carpenter roles currently advertise annual pay starting at AUD $162,012 while in Antarctica, including allowances. Accommodation and meals are provided on station.

These are skilled, paid jobs requiring relevant qualifications and experience. Australian citizenship is generally required, with limited exceptions, and applicants undergo medical and psychological screening.

Applications are open now. The recruitment announcement lists October 31, 2026 as the closing date, while current job listings specify November 1—check the individual role and apply early.

‏Ahmad Alnufais is a Kuwaiti Quran reciter who has gained prominence in recent years through his refined and well-executed recorded recitations. He began learning Quranic recitation from a young age, with a strong focus on mastering the rules of Tajweed and precisely articulating the letters.

‏He is known for his calm and balanced style, emphasizing clarity of meaning rather than excessive vocal ornamentation. This approach gives his recitation a deeply spiritual and reflective tone. Over time, this methodology has helped him develop a distinct identity among contemporary reciters and has made his voice widely appreciated by listeners seeking focus, humility, and contemplation.

Flying the drone again after the Israeli occupation stole the old one back in 2023.

It feels terrible to fly the drone while thinking about my friend @mustafa_s_thraya that Israeli occupation killed just because he was flying his drone in Gaza.
