Actor Sir Patrick Stewart, best known for playing Capt. Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men films, has died at age 86.

Stewart died Wednesday at his home in Los Angeles after what his longtime spokesperson, Kelly Bush Novak, described as “a brief and poignant journey with Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy body dementia.”

“He has been held in the warm embrace of family and friends, surrounded by live music, prayer, tears, laughter and the kind of profound emotion that only he could inspire after a lifetime of devotion to us all,” Bush Novak wrote. “We will forever cherish the peaceful ease and reflection on his face, an enduring reminder of his invincible grace.”

Hello, November! 🍂❤️

With just two months left in the year, it’s easy to feel the pressure to hurry up and accomplish everything we set out to do. But isn’t it interesting that nature seems to do just the opposite? The trees shed their leaves, the animals prepare to rest, and everything begins to slow down.

Perhaps we could all take a little inspiration from that. Not everything needs to be accomplished before the year ends. Sometimes slowing down is just as important as moving forward. ❤️

Are you feeling the end-of-year rush, or are you giving yourself permission to slow down? 🍁
