female artists can never catch a break i swear

Miley Cyrus has been receiving mixed reactions following her recent performances at the Hollywood Bowl, with some concertgoers criticizing the singer for encouraging the audience to sing along during certain parts of her songs rather than performing every lyric herself. While some fans expressed disappointment, others quickly came to Miley’s defense, pointing out that audience participation has always been a common part of live concerts. The criticism also sparked a larger conversation about the expectations placed on performers, especially when it comes to balancing live vocals, stage presence, and crowd interaction. Miley seemingly addressed some of the backlash during her second night at the venue, reminding the audience that she sings live and joking about not performing cartwheels onstage. Many supporters argued that Miley has already proven herself to be an incredibly talented live vocalist and that encouraging fans to sing along shouldn’t overshadow her abilities as a performer.
