Itโ€™s taken me a couple of days to truly process what happened this weekend. We put ourselves in the best position heading into the final power stage. All we needed was 4th or better to clinch the championship. After a season of fighting for every second and point, it came down to one last stage. Half way through the stage we hit exposed bedrock on the racing line, puncturing both left side tires. We did everything we could to limp to the finish but in the end it wasnโ€™t enough. What makes this harder to swallow is knowing everything it took to get here. This season was do or die for me. I put everything I had financially into running my own team, competing against manufacturer teams with far more resources and support. There were no guarantees, but I believed we could fight at the front. And we proved that. Bad luck followed us all season. At the Snow Drift we were three corners from our first overall win when a mechanical failure took it away. Punctures at two other rallies cost us chances at wins and valuable points. Somehow, we still led the championship for most of the year. Without the two dropped rounds in ARAโ€™s points system, we would have won on total points. Those were the rules we all raced under, but itโ€™s still a tough pill to swallow. I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve ever given so much of myself to something, only to come so painfully close. But I donโ€™t want this weekend to overshadow what we accomplished. I became the first woman to lead the overall American Rally Championship standings and the first woman to win an overall national rally, in my first season back after two years and my first in a Rally2 car. Iโ€™m incredibly proud of that, and no championship result can take it away. Iโ€™m so proud of everyone who put their heart and soul into this program. I know how much they sacrificed, and I wish we could have brought home the title they deserved. Iโ€™ve always known rallying can be cruel, but I donโ€™t think I understood just how cruel until this weekend. I hope Iโ€™ll remember more than how it ended: the risks we took, the history we made, and the people who believed in us. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. โค๏ธ

They donโ€™t make trance like this anymore Released in 2001, Lasgoโ€™s debut single โ€œSomethingโ€ turned its melancholy piano melody and Evi Goffinโ€™s unmistakable vocals into one of the defining sounds of the vocal trance era. The track became an international breakout, reaching No. 1 in Ireland, No. 4 in the UK and even crossing into the US Billboard Hot 100 at No. 35. This TMF Awards performance captures Lasgo at the height of that early-2000s dance boom, and 25 years later, that opening melody is still instantly recognizable. via: TMF - The Music Factory
Big news. BIG news. Lidl has stopped doing full-fat cottage cheese ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Not too watery, not too milky, definitely not mushed. Karen likes it lumpy, separate lumps please, and the hunt for the perfect pot is ON. Has life been reduced to the mundane? Absolutely not. This is important. Where do you get yours? Tell us your best cottage cheese ๐Ÿ‘‡
