Grace Edge is accused of entering a home in Uvalda on Monday, October 19, and firing five sh*ts, leaving her 75-year-old ex-husband, Wallace Edge, and his 40-year-old girlfriend, Pamela Cook, de@d.
The v*olence also injured Cook’s 55-year-old mother, Diane Cook, who was sh*t in the arm and survived. Investigators say Diane called 911 after witnessing the attack. In dispatch audio aired by WTOC, she told operators, “She just come in start sh**ting.”
Toombs County Sheriff Jordan Kight said the alleged att*ck may have stemmed from the former couple’s romantic history. Although Grace and Wallace divorced more than a decade ago, investigators received reports that they continued an on-again, off-again relationship before Wallace began dating Pamela.
“[Wallace] had started dating Pamela, and it appears that, based on information we received, Grace was not accepting of the situation,” Kight explained.
Authorities say Grace surrendered at the sheriff’s office following the sh**ting. Kight also revealed deputies had responded to at least a dozen domestic disputes involving the former spouses before their divorce, although those calls resulted in no arrests.
Deputies arrived at the McNatt Falls Road residence shortly after 2 p.m., finding both victims de@d inside.
Grace now faces two counts each of malice m*rder and felony m*rder, along with three counts of aggravated a$$ault.
