Apple just unveiled a $299 smart display, its biggest push into the smart home in nearly a decade.

HomeView, announced on Tuesday, has a 7 inch screen and comes in two versions, one with a speaker base for tabletops and one that mounts on a wall.

HomeView runs on Apple’s new Siri AI and can recognize up to six people in a home, showing each person their own messages, photos, calendar and reminders. It can also control smart home devices and turn recipes from the web into step by step cooking instructions with hands free timers.

It’s the first product outside the iPhone launched under new CEO John Ternus, who took over from Tim Cook in September. Preorders are open now, and HomeView hits stores November 13, though it won’t be available in the European Union.
