If you’re looking to evolve your Java ecosystem experience, Kotlin is worth trying on your next project – less boilerplate, safer code, and easier async.

If you want to learn more about Kotlin, KotlinConf’26 is coming up soon! You get early access to the Kotlin roadmap, direct interaction with JetBrains engineers, and A genuinely supportive community.

Java was the reason I first gave up programming back in high school. JavaScript was the reason I chose programming as the career after grad school. I'm glad to hear Kotlin has modernized Java

As a current software engineering student, i think i can confidently say i mastered java. im happy with my progress so far, but now as i start working on my graduation project and more personal game engine projects. it feels like everybody and their mother uses either python or C++ respectively. It almost feels like java is pretty useless in the real world. Am i missing something? everything i want to do seems like it shouldn't be done with Java

One of the things that I dislike about Java is the (lack of) package manager. Yes, we have things like maven but they are not ease to use. Wonder if Kotlin has something like pip o cargo.
