April 11th, 2023… a date that will never leave me.

100 level, second semester…
an hour to my exam, life was still normal.
Then everything changed.

I lost my daddy. My Chief Daddy.
And in that moment, my world broke in ways I still can’t fully explain.

Three years later… it still doesn’t feel real.
Three years of missing your voice, your presence, your guidance.
Three years of learning life without you.

Now my siblings have children… and it hurts knowing you’re not here to carry your grandchildren.
You didn’t get to see the future you always spoke about for me…
the life, the dreams, the husband you used to tease me about.

Some days I’m strong.
Some days it hits all over again.

But today… I just miss you deeply.
