It’s Vinyl Battle Wednesday, and today we’re pitting the albums released on September 24, 1991 against each other. This week promises to be a fierce competition, as both albums are classics and both bands feature legendary drummers. However, their sounds are quite distinct. Will the winner be Nirvana’s Nevermind, with Dave Grohl on drums in the red corner, or will it be the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Blood Sugar Sex Magik, with Chad Smith on the skins? Who are you rooting for, and what does your turntable reveal?

I can’t really stand most RHCP but if we are talking strictly about the drummer, they win without question and Grohl would agree with me.

It still amazes me that these two (and A tribe called quest - Low End Theory) were released on the same day.
