"THEY RUN MEXICO": TRUMP ESCALATES TENSIONS OVER CARTELS.

U.S. President Donald Trump doubled down on his aggressive stance regarding drug cartels, declaring from the White House that criminal organizations "control Mexico" and arguing that the Mexican government lacks the capability to stop them.

In his latest remarks, Trump claimed:

"We know where they live": Trump stated that U.S. intelligence knows the exact locations of top cartel leaders, adding, "We are hitting them with force, but we're going to hit them harder."

Ground operations are expanding: While coastal and maritime routes have been heavily targeted, Trump warned that U.S. ground operations and pressure "are just beginning" and have yet to deploy at full capacity.

Friction with Sheinbaum: Trump noted that Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum "is not happy" about his blunt assessments, even as he called her a "wonderful woman".

The Mexican Response: President Claudia Sheinbaum continues to fiercely push back, maintaining a strict stance against foreign military intervention. While Mexico pushes for bilateral coordination, her administration insists that national sovereignty is non-negotiable—while also calling on the U.S. to curb illegal weapons trafficking and high domestic drug consumption.

💬 What are your thoughts on this escalating tension between the U.S. and Mexico?
