Happy birthday to the queen 👑 My best friend and my favorite teammate. The life of the party and the best dancer that I know. I’m thankful for another year to make memories with you. I love you!

![[Watch till the end!] A few weeks ago, you all rallied to support Ashford, our gruff, toothless boy who had survived so much — years of hunger on the street, eye infections, severe dental disease, FIV, and now also respiratory issues.
And we have news…
After a 2-weeks course of antibiotics, Ashford’s cough subsided. An echocardiogram told us his heart murmur was benign. And an eye exam revealed that he’s been blind in one eye since before his rescue.
And then we got even bigger news!
His foster could not let him go. That’s right — Ashford is home! We were overjoyed when @k.h__ asked us if she could adopt him since she could no longer imagine her life without her orange shadow. The answer was a resounding “yes.”
Ashford, we love you! Katie, we’re so grateful to you! And we’re so grateful to everyone who helped Ashford and us along the way! 🧡](https://s1.imginn.com/849401950_28694363813555783_403846694980622513_n.jpg?t15.5256-10/849401950_28694363813555783_403846694980622513_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_e15_p320x320_tt6&_nc_cat=105&ig_cache_key=NDAwODE3NDU1OTU4MjgyNTk4MA%3D%3D.3-ccb7-5&ccb=7-5&_nc_sid=58cdad&efg=eyJ2ZW5jb2RlX3RhZyI6IkNMSVBTLnhwaWRzLjY0MC5zZHIudmlkZW9fZGVmYXVsdF9jb3Zlcl9mcmFtZS5DMyJ9&_nc_ohc=8jq4VyoSWSIQ7kNvwHNVR0I&_nc_oc=AdobxV0wr729SwFnLYKpUv-eFvKfX5AMvXH6FLz-NSUjXiDuxbZJ9faWcnlU7hXD2Gf-Mc0ErbzFaI580ZlWN42v&_nc_zt=23&_nc_ht=scontent-ord5-2.cdninstagram.com&_nc_gid=UwqxViGFAYmMeN5kpSRHSQ&_nc_ss=70689&oh=00_AQOxDqdfsJF3nZDLrgafMiUMXP3SC8tbA4VYP82ZO5RVwQ&oe=6ADA8336)
