In a significant achievement for Indian higher education, Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS) has made a major leap in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027, climbing 35 positions among ranked Indian institutions and improving its standing globally.

The Faridabad-based university has moved from 98th position among 128 ranked Indian institutions in 2026 to 63rd among 170 institutions in 2027, according to an analysis of the official ranking data. Globally, it has advanced from the 1501+ category to the 1201–1400 band, marking an improvement in its international academic standing.

The milestone comes as Manav Rachna celebrates 30 years of its educational journey. One of the biggest contributors to its improved performance has been Research Quality, which emerged as the university’s strongest assessment pillar.

Over the years, MRIIRS has expanded its research ecosystem across Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Biotechnology, Sustainable Technologies and Health Sciences. According to the institution, it has secured over ₹8.5 crore in research funding, produced more than 6,000 research publications and published over 300 patents.

Its innovation ecosystem has also supported more than 110 startups through the Manav Rachna Innovation and Incubation Foundation, offering mentorship, infrastructure, funding support and industry connections to emerging entrepreneurs.

Reacting to the achievement, Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President of Manav Rachna Educational Institutions, said the improvement reflected years of consistent efforts towards academic excellence. He emphasised that the institution’s ambition extends beyond rankings to creating meaningful impact through teaching, research and innovation.

Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Srivastava also highlighted the importance of strengthening research culture and translating academic knowledge into practical applications.

#Socialites, come get into this. Seven days... That’s how long it took for the newest face at the White House podium to go from the big announcement to the exit door.

A senior White House official says Katie Zacharia is “transitioning out” of the press secretary job, and the president himself is the one who opened the door.

Speaking to reporters earlier, Donald Trump gave her what sounded like a soft landing and a polite shove at the same time. “Maybe it’s not for her,” he said, adding that she should reconsider. He also pushed the idea that the press is to blame… saying he doesn’t think she should be made to suffer the way she has “at the hands of the press.”
