20 to 60 cm of fresh snow is on the way down to the valleys!
On Wednesday afternoon and evening, a cold front hits the Western and Northern Alps. Thursday brings showers mainly to the French Northern Alps, Switzerland, and Austria. Most areas will see 20–40 cm, while well-known northwesterly stau spots could get well over half a metre.
Even better: as the front passes, the snow line drops rapidly from around 1800 m down to 400–800 m, and stays low all day Thursday. Perfect timing to chase fresh lines right down to the valleys. 🏔️
