Authentic banana pudding recipe 🍌 🍰  Inspired by my trip to New York, one of the best desserts in the world and SO EASY to make! Don’t forget to enter the Lurpak® Star with @lurpakuk award recognising talented home cooks! The prize includes a year’s supply of Lurpak®, a premium cast iron casserole dish and a chance to meet Chef Simon Rimmer to try your creation! All you gotta do is DM @lurpakuk with your dish. Entries close 28 October. UK Residents aged 18+ only. T&C’s apply (link in @lurpakuk bio). Save this recipe for a quick comfort eats ❤️ AD Ingredients * 1 tin sweetened condensed milk * 1 cup ice cold water * 1 packet (about 96g) instant vanilla pudding mix (Jell-O one) * 700ml double cream (heavy whipping cream) * 3-4 ripe bananas sliced * 1 packet (about 300g) vanilla wafers (Nilla Wafers) Method * Whisk condensed milk, water for a min and vanilla pudding mix, whisk for 2 mins. * Refrigerate for 3–4 hours (I did overnight) until set, very important! * When ready to assemble whip double cream to still peaks. * Fold whipped cream into the chilled pudding. * Layer vanilla wafers, sliced bananas and pudding in a dish. * Repeat the layers and finish with pudding. * Cover and refrigerate up to 6 hours.  * Sprinkle crushed wafers on top and serve chilled. Tip: I like mine really cakey and a bit of crunch, that’s why added wafers to the side but if you want it to completely smooth don’t add wafers to the side of the dish (it won’t set) . . . . . . . . . . #bananapudding #dessertrecipes #easyrecipesathome #dessert #lurpak
