Is Malaysia really not a reading nation? 📚🇲🇾

Apparently, we read 24 books a year. Our biggest book fair recorded 2.4 million visits in just 10 days!

But 85% of Malaysians surveyed budget RM500 or less a year for reading materials.

So is the problem that Malaysians don’t like reading, or that books aren’t cheap?

I dug into the numbers, and the answer surprised me.
