March 7th & 8th and May 2nd of 2025, I had the honor and privilege to perform Crystal Pite’s Betroffienheit (Jermaine Spivey solo) for my senior project (IN)VERUM and Purchase Dance Company. This rewarding experience coached and staged by @rakeemhardy and advice from @jamsvy was nothing short of life changing. I have always loved Crystal’s work and diving into the complexity and mindset first hand has truly made me fall in love with her movement language.

This has been one of the most fulfilling processes of my early career so far and I pray to have more like it soon!

A special thank you to Crystal for allowing me to do this solo and post these moments. Thank you to Rakeem for your diligent effort in setting this on me and your support throughout the process, Eric Beauchesne for making this all possible, Shea for these great shots and to my friends and family for their encouragement and support! ✨

Shout out to @rakeemhardy for sharing the work and themselves with you so brilliantly. I love that we three are connected by the portal this solo opens. You already know I'm here for your dancing. Absolutely. You truly did a fantastic job with the solo. The essence of what was made, but also very your own, as it should be...in a marvelous way. I could tell from the video that you were dialed all the way in. Even in the photos I can see your total commitment and the artistry that shows up from that. Bravo!!👏🏿👏🏿💪🏿💪🏿🕺🏿🕺🏿✨️✨️

If you’ve ever felt like you can’t keep up with how quickly fashion trends come and go, here’s a little stylist tip from me to you 👇 And don’t get me wrong, I LOVE trends. I love seeing what’s coming through each season, what colours we’re going to be seeing more of and finding different ways to have fun with fashion. But just because something isn’t at the peak of its popularity anymore doesn’t mean we need to stop wearing it. Sometimes a trend is what gets you to try something you might never have considered before and you end up loving it so much that it becomes part of your personal style. And that’s something I always encourage with my clients. Take inspiration from what’s trending, but don’t feel like you need to move on from something you love just because fashion has. Which brings me to butter yellow. We’ve had a good couple of years together and I’m certainly not breaking up with her anytime soon, even if she isn’t in her peak anymore 💛😂 @rooh.collective #butteryellow #stylisttip #gift

Happy Astro-Halloween! 🎃🌌This is an idea I had years ago: shooting the Milky Way with real pumpkins. The sky was the easy part; the rest was the real challenge, starting with finding big enough pumpkins in Spain, which aren’t so common, then carving them and finding a place where Orion aligns naturally. This foreground is one of the most extreme HDR panoramas I have ever done, covering everything from the highlights inside the jack-o’-lanterns to the shadows of the trees and the lit house.I shot the sky last year when there was no moon, but I was missing the foreground to finish this idea. Honestly, I’ve been going out at night for so many years that barely anything feels creepy anymore. In this area there are a few houses and old structures with so many trees and good darkness, so it’s a playground for finding nice nightscapes.
