Most people think it’s about the camera.
It’s not. It’s about what the brain feels when it sees you.
Watch what happens when the light shifts…
Too much light → you lose depth
Too little light → you lose clarity
Just enough → you become the focus
This isn’t just lighting.
This is perception.
Your audience isn’t analyzing your setup…
Their brain is deciding:
👉 Do I focus on you…
👉 Or do I get distracted by everything around you?
That decision happens in milliseconds.
If the environment is louder than your presence…
you’ve already lost attention.
Lighting is influence.
Lighting is framing.
Lighting is control over what people feel when they see you.
Next time you hit record…
don’t just ask “Can they see me?”
Ask…
“Am I the highlight?”
