Looking for an English-speaking hairstylist in Taipei? After 2.5 years here, trying 4+ stylists and spending hundreds of dollars 😭, I finally found a blonde highlight specialist! @alchemic_coiffeur gave me the EXACT style I asked for 🙌🏻 PS: This isn’t sponsored. I’m just sharing my experience to hopefully help someone else looking for this service ❤️ Here’s what I learned from all my trial & error that I think is important to know if you’re coming to Taipei for balayage or blonde highlights. 1. The lightener matters. Some Asian-brand lighteners are formulated with coarser Asian hair textures in mind, so it’s worth asking what products your stylist uses, especially if your hair is already compromised from frequent bleaching. 2. Ask about toner vs. color. In my experience, some salons used demi-permanent color on my non-bleached hair to better match the tone of my highlights, rather than the toner-only approach I was used to. This always left my hair much darker than I wanted and took longer to fade back to the lighter look I was after. 3. Highlighting techniques can be very different. Even when I explained that I wanted a root touch-up, stylists would bleach & color my entire head instead of just my new growth. After 5 years of being blonde, I was used to my US stylist applying bleach only to my roots and avoiding previously lightened hair. The difference in technique contributed to A LOT of breakage for me, and I experienced this repeatedly until now. 4. Highlights can cost as much as in the US. I’ve seen quotes as high as NT$14,000 (about US$430), sometimes without a haircut. One thing you’ll save on is tipping, since it isn’t customary in Taiwan. I think if you have strong, healthy, thick hair and want gray blending or balayage, a local Taipei stylist may work great for you. But if you’re used to Western highlighting techniques and your hair is already compromised, do your research before booking because the wrong approach can cause serious breakage. Trust me, I learned that the hard way 😭 PS I can’t speak for every stylist. This is just my personal experience.❤️ (Reel inspired by @happy_baes ) #taipeibalayage

🚨🔥90 Day Fiance: Kara Claims Guillermo Wasn’t Providing For Her‼️ ✍️👒..Kara Bass has been proud of herself for her career choices. She is finally single after ending her relationship with her husband, Guillermo. The 90 Day Fiance star also stepped into the pleasure industry. Kara has been trying to redeem herself since The Last Resort Season 3. She has appeared on several podcasts and accused her ex. Recently, Kara went on the @_decisiondecisions_podcast to talk about her career, relationship, and life. She decided to hit back at her haters for trolling her about her adult career. The TLC star noted that she really has to weigh what she is willing to sell and what she is comfortable with. Kara stated, “He wasn’t providing people, the f*ck? You want me to be hungry?” She called out her haters for thinking that she chose to be a s*x worker over her husband. But the TLC star thinks she chose herself, her well-being, and her future. The reality TV star is proud to have earned over six figures in just a month. Kara talked about her marriage, motherhood, and relationships during the podcast. She also discussed the double standards surrounding sex work. The 90 Day Fiance star shared her side of the story with the fans. However, Guillermo wasn’t shocked by Kara’s claims. He wrote, “Here we go with the crazy story…” He warned his followers to be careful of what they believe. The reality TV star hasn’t thrown shade or clarified anything. As a result, viewers feel Kara is trying to shift the blame to her ex.
