Bone-and-Wood Inlay: Three-Dimensional Relief in Wood Part 1 | 骨木镶嵌：木头上的立体浮雕 #山白 #shanbai #China Bone-and-wood inlay is a centuries-old craft from China and a national intangible cultural heritage. It uses ivory, cow bone, mother-of-pearl, copper sheet, and fine boxwood as its palette. The cow leg bone is first buried in soil to remove tissue, then sawn and filed into paper-thin sheets and soaked for months to degrease, soften and bleach white. Each piece is then sawn into delicate floral shapes—blossoms and branches. Grooves are chiseled into the elm furniture frame to match the inlays, which are set with Chinese lacquer or fish glue. Finally the surface is carved, planed smooth, polished and lacquered again. The result is striking: white bone against deep elm wood, with mother-of-pearl shimmering between the patterns. A guqin table built this way is not just furniture—it is a usable three-dimensional relief, passed down through generations.
Dhirubhai Ambani built Reliance with a vision to create something extraordinary for India. Mukesh Ambani took that legacy forward, transforming Reliance into a global business powerhouse and revolutionising India’s digital landscape with Jio. 🇮🇳 Today, the next generation, led by Akash Ambani in Jio’s telecom business, is carrying that ambition forward. With Jio Platforms’ highly anticipated IPO in focus, another significant chapter could be unfolding in Reliance’s journey. Three generations of ambition, innovation and a legacy that continues to contribute to India’s growth story. 🚀📈 #JiolPO #Reliance #AmbaniLegacy #Digitallndia #Reels
Silent Rave on Wall Street. A flash mob in the matrix. We all carry an underlying fear of being seen, judged, or misunderstood. Fear that keeps us in a mental prison, following societal guidelines and rules we never chose. But when we step outside the matrix, we reclaim our joy & step into our power. The fear may not disappear, but moving through it reminds others that they can do the same. “Rave With Me” is an invitation to move unapologetically. Dancing becomes the medicine that heals us, connects us, and sets us free.
