For those who don’t know, this is the most important band of my life. I played guitar in Jinn (Джин).

We were active between 1992 and 1999 as a Ukrainian–Spanish band, and for a brief, unforgettable two weeks in 2008 in Palma de Mallorca, we became a Ukrainian–Spanish–American one.

These people have always been more than bandmates, they’re my closest friends, more than relatives. No matter what’s happening in the world, this will always be one of the defining parts of my life on Earth.

It’s hard to put into words what a real rock ’n’ roll band experience gives you… but for me, it was a way of understanding the world.
