“The Israeli soldiers would raid Christian family homes, steal what was in the house…and then they ***** on the floor and scrawled swear words in Hebrew.” Special interview episode with Orthodox nun, Mother Agapia Stephanopoulos, who spent 10 years living in Palestine and running a girls’ school in Jerusalem. She is now using her voice to educate us on what she and the Christian community were subjected to living as a nun in Jerusalem, and to amplify the voices of Palestinians in the Holy Land. She testified before the U.S. congress in April 2005 about the treatment of the Palestinian Christian communities she was living and working with, which led to a call by Jerusalem’s mayor’s office, Mordechai Levi, that resulted in her being removed from her role. But that hasn’t stopped her from continuing to speak up for justice, and calling on Christians, especially in America, to wake up before the land of Christ and the historic Christian communities living on that land, are erased. Как пишет портал Inbusiness.kz, склады предприятий завалены сайгачатиной, а первоначальный интерес покупателей угас. За двадцать лет государственная охрана дала неожиданный эффект: популяция сайгаков выросла до пяти миллионов особей при норме в восемьсот тысяч. Животные начали вытаптывать фермерские посевы, и власти начали отстрел: в прошлом году изъяли около двухсот тысяч голов, а в этом разрешили пустить под нож ещё до полумиллиона. Но куда девать продукцию — теперь не понятно. В армейский рацион диетическое мясо не взяли из-за низкой калорийности. Идею кормить им заключённых пока не утвердили, и из всех госструктур консервы согласилось забрать только МЧС — в государственный резерв. С экспортом рогов тоже заминка: международная квота выделена, но ни одной сделки пока нет. В итоге спасение редкого вида обернулось кризисом сбыта: страна получила огромное количество дешёвого мяса, которое оказалось никому не нужным.
