Drake is accused in a new lawsuit of “shamelessly” using a songwriter’s demo without credit or compensation for the hook of his chart-topping Iceman single “Janice STFU.”

The Friday legal complaint, filed by Gregory Korn and Jonathan Steinsapir of Kinsella Holley Iser Kump Steinsapir and first obtained and reported by Billboard, alleges that the chorus of Drake’s May mega-hit is “literally identical” to a demo sent by composer Aviel Calev Hirschfield to Drake’s team at the beginning of 2026.

Things are going from bad to worse down on the Alamitos peninsula in Long Beach, California. Despite crews working around the clock to protect the area 12 residences have been red tagged so far. The swell from tropical storm Rachel isnt that large; the big problem is the tide, which was 1.2 feet higher than predicted, coming in at about 7.20 feet today at 10 AM. Next month, the week of Thanksgiving is really going to be rough, as predicted tides are coming in at about 7.1 foot. If this Kelvin wave holds or even builds this tragedy will pale in comparison to what's coming if we experience tides in the 8.5 foot range. Add any swell or storm to that high of a tide and it will be unlike anything any of us in Socal have seen before.
