I can't be in Toronto without visiting my friends at Collector Studio - Fine Automotive Memorabilia. Owner, Morry Barmak gave me a personal tour of the studio. The Formula 1 items and automobilia he has assembled is unmatched ... and all for sale!
Among the items I picked up on this trip ...
- An autographed picture by 5X Formula One Champion, Juan Manual Fangio and his nephew, Juan Manual Fangio II, a successful IMSA - International Motor Sports Association driver and 2X 12 Hours of Sebring winner. This item is particularly special to me as my friend and automotive icon, John Sabel introduced me to the legend of Fangio (John actually saw Fangio race at Nurbergring) and the Ferrari Lancia D50 that Fangio drove to the 1956 Championship. I have acquired a number of D50 diecast models, the most significant one from Morry and Allan at Collector Studio. I hung this most special item directly over the D50 diecast collection.
I also picked up a BEAUTIFUL print of belly-tankers racers at the Bonneville Salt Flats with P-51 Mustangs flying above. I have been to SpeedWeek several times at the Flats and have witnessed numerous land speed record attempts. It is a great thrill to witness! My dream is to make a Land Speed Record attempt in a streamliner ... only a dream.
I saw this cast model of an F1 racer and couldn't pass it up. It was a presentation item included in a cigarette lighter by the prestigious S.T. Dupont company of Paris. The lighter is sold for $1,721.61 That is one VERY special lighter! 💰 🔥 🚬
Collector Studio is one of the greatest, prestigious and trusted automobilia dealers in the world and its an honor to call Morry and Allan friends.
