Nine documentaries in, Zara McDermott is still pushing against the assumptions people made about her after Love Island. “I haven’t followed the conventional path that someone who comes out of Love Island normally would,” she tells Cosmopolitan. Her films have taken her into worlds far removed from the usual reality TV star trajectory, exploring intimate image abuse, rape culture, stalking and eating disorders. Now, she’s working alongside Lancashire Police on her latest documentary. In her October digital cover story, Zara talks about forging her own path and why she wants to be involved from the very first idea. Read the full interview at the link in bio. Can’t wait to be able to kickflip my car Tesla's new Roadster just launched over a row of Teslas and flipped in midair before landing on its wheels. The stunt happened Thursday night at its unveiling at a SpaceX test site in McGregor, Texas, where it cleared a Cybercab, Cybertruck, Semi, Model Y and Model 3. The car uses compressed air thrusters developed with SpaceX to lift off the ground and steady itself in the air, plus a fan system underneath that let it drive upside down on a giant ramp earlier in the show. Tesla also claimed a 0 to 60 time of 0.81 seconds during a live run at the event. The Roadster will come in three versions, and Musk told the crowd "We enter production in 2028." There's no price yet, but reservations start at $50,000 for the base model and $250,000 for a thruster equipped version. (via @teslamotors) #tesla #meme #roadster #elonmusk #spacex

You can’t be serious! Texas ain’t never been God‘s country. Texas tried to keep Black people enslaved after emancipation. Evangelicals in Texas supported a serial adulterer, unrepentant racist, pathological liar, convicted felon, and adjudicated rapist. If that’s not embarrassing, I don’t know what is. Texas is where James Byrd, Atatiana Jefferson, and Botham Jean were lynched. Texas is where they just gerrymandered maps to get rid of districts represented by Black people in Congress. The church in America, particularly in Texas, should already be ashamed. What Texas is this knee grow talking about?
