Here I am singing Christina Aguilera version of Something’s Got a hold on me. I was at the @dreamasiafoodfestnj and the had a Karaoke 🎤 contest and I could not resist!

I lost to a 12 year old but I’m okay with that. lol She was cute 🥰.

What’s crazy is last year I said I would perform at Met Life Stadium and this year I performed across the Street! We getting closer! ❤️

Major changes for Jenny with her ALS: Sumit and Jennys Journey Ig page shared an update. Speaking has become very difficult for Jenny, so Sumit has stepped up as her primary voice and full-time caregiver every day. Jenny’s health continues to decline, and each day brings new challenges. She’s currently taking two main ALS medications, Edaravone and Riluzole, along with B12, magnesium, and melatonin. While these treatments are designed to slow the progression of the disease, they leave her feeling extremely tired. Over the last few months, Jenny and Sumit have met with about five neurologists and speech therapists. She is doing everything asked of her, and she will soon begin acupuncture—a holistic option that has shown promising results in trials for improving mobility and easing fatigue. . Because healthcare in India is paid out-of-pocket, her medications and specialist appointments are very expensive. It was rote testing that broke Ellie, a few years ago 💔 Broke her - and she refused to touch a tablet for two years. Proofs and proofs, we were told to get, and the tests were so cold, like those made for hungry pigeons 😢 She refused those tests, my spirited girl 🔥 And then she wanted no part in anything that reminded her of them, either... Touchscreen tablets. 😔 It took lots of treats and bribing to persuade her to touch a tablet again 🥰 I knew if we ever wanted to study Ellie, we'd simply have to follow her -- a little bird girl who loved to play and talk. But how do you rigorously test her, too? Would it be possible? We built in little extra checks 🤗 When she asked for food, we'd see - did she eat it, at least 3 bites?? Or if she requested a game, did she play for at least a minute? If we told her no, was she persistent? If she got what she requested, did she stop asking? If we randomly moved her treat icons, did she still find them, and request them more than non-food items? Each test either following her - or with her permission. They are games she can open - the Treat Game, the one where the icons move - and she chooses all of her testing. Except Wrong Fulfillment, this one. Here, I pretended to be confused. When she asked for a sunflower seed, I'd hand her seed balls, broccoli, nuts, apples... Things she liked to eat. Treats she also requested a lot... Would she eat them too? Because if she did, our data - nearly 500 selections analyzed - that she engages with what she requests - Would be out the window. Instead, not only did she reject every single "Wrong Fulfillment" item, she closed her speech board, went to the tablet home screen, found the picture gallery, opened it to the albums... Opened an album with food items. And found - and opened - a picture of her sunflower seed. "Here Mom, I'll help you. You seem confused." The depth of her intentionality - across so very many tests now - is just remarkable. She is remarkable.
