I didn’t hit all the topics because I only have so much time in a reel. So hold off on those what about’s. Cool thing about owning your own business is I can be authentically myself without fear of getting in trouble for my beliefs. Think about that for a second. Where has our freedom gone when we are choosing to not be authentic because of fear. Fear is a powerful tool when used in the hands of an abuser. It is used to control and manipulate. When in fear our critical thinking shuts down and we make decisions from survival. Getting stronger in your abilities gives you confidence. Confidence gives you power inside. With this power you become less fearful. When you are not manipulated by fear, you are not controllable. So yes, lifting weights is important for your body and also your mind. It can shift your mindset towards a higher level of awakening. 💪🏽🫶🏽 Come lift with me in a safe space at Glutes 317 in Indy.
A Congress MP has been sacked from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) after 11 female students accused him of sexual harassment, including allegedly offering higher marks in exchange for sexual favours. Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, the Congress Lok Sabha MP from Inner Manipur, was dismissed from his professorship on October 9, following an internal inquiry. Delhi Police subsequently registered an FIR against him on October 11. The allegations first surfaced in May 2026 after a student reportedly shared her experience during a viva examination in a students-only WhatsApp group. Other students subsequently came forward, accusing the professor of making sexually suggestive remarks in classrooms, inviting women to gatherings at his campus residence and making inappropriate advances. Some alleged that he linked additional examination marks to accepting his advances. JNU’s Internal Committee examined the complaints, witness statements and other evidence. According to documents cited in the police complaint, the committee identified an alleged recurring pattern of inappropriate personal interactions, sexually suggestive conduct and unwelcome physical contact, creating a hostile learning environment. The committee recommended major disciplinary action, although some student representatives reportedly favoured a lesser punishment. Vice Chancellor Santishree D Pandit subsequently approved his dismissal. Following the university’s action, JNU’s Chief Security Officer approached Delhi Police, leading to an FIR at Vasant Kunj North police station under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita concerning sexual harassment and insulting a woman’s modesty. Police have begun investigating the allegations, which reportedly concern incidents between July 2025 and May 2026. Akoijam has denied wrongdoing, describing the proceedings against him as a “witch hunt” and questioning whether the university followed proper procedures. Meanwhile, BJP’s Mahila Morcha protested outside Congress headquarters, accusing the party’s leadership of shielding its MP. On October 13, a delegation of BJP women MPs also approached President Droupadi Murmu seeking his suspension from the Lok Sabha.
