What do you think of the differences? Although streaming services may sound better than vinyl sometimes, vinyl definitely has advantages over streaming that to many make vinyl the more preferred option. Even in sound quality in certain situations.
—
Some of these advantages vinyl have are physically owning your music, vinyl usually has a more warmer and lively sound, having the artwork, collectibility, and developing an emotional connection to your music to make the listening experience more intentional and immersive. So what do you think? 💿

Analogue listening has way more depth compared to streaming. Even with good quality headphones, nothing beats standing in a room with the sound of the music surrounding you entirely. Vinyl sounds not just better—but the best 🔥

Vinyl sounds so much "open", streaming sounds like it's trapped in a sort of cage, but the best streaming service is by far quboz might be more expensive but it's got real 192Khz audio not like apple music, tidal's second best imo

Both are great, but a physical media means you are actually have the music encoded in your hand. It's a piece of artifact, It feels more real.

And mostly because at the time the vinyl was produced the tapes were "Fresher" and did not have deteriorated through time and multiple plays. Especially High frequencies and overall definition. Mid-70s productions are especially prone to that (for Movie celluloid too, 73 and 76 petrol crisis pushed manufacturers to change formulations in not a good way...). Hearing some Black Sabbath or Pink Floyd from that Era is quite revealing. Dark Side of the Moon Master tape is known to have lost it's High Frequencies long time ago. It's openness and stellar sound is only to be found in 70's or really early 80's pressings.

It does sound better on vinyl in this video (even true my iPhone speakers lol), but you were probably streaming true Bluetooth (hella compressed). Plus you were on Spotify bruh 😭 (which is garbage). The files are already compressed to 320 kbps at best. So that’s why it sounds fuller/deeper/richer on vinyl. At least try Apple Music through a DAC to your Marantz😍. Almost all recordings are lossless (at least 16bit/44,1 kHz and up) you can find some Hi-Res recordings up to 24bit/192kHz, which is clearly noticeable on good set ups.

Basically, these comparisons are stupid. First off, Instagram downsamples the audio quality anyway, so it makes absolutely no sense. Plus, most people listen to it through phone speakers. To truly hear a difference, you’d actually have to be there in person.

All I know is streaming is passable in the car. Whereas my record player sounds AWFUL in the car. Needle is jumping like a Kriss Koss music video.

I guess vinyl will always ein against streaming. It is recorded exactly how the artists wanted their music to sound like!!! That’s why…always vinyl!

Well….doing a recording in the Room is not going to make any change, because you recorded both to DIGITAL…get it? If you did not hear the difference..well that is another problem. Yes, On vinyl… I own my music but I record from that to PCM and DSD to the highest resolution where 70% of content on streaming services have only CD quality of 16 Bit.. not to mention that because you stream it you lose quality. So, I use Tidal if I’m on trips, etc. But my digital content is all stored in a hard drive connected to my set up.

too many variables there, especially the cartridge. huge difference in sound quality, depending on the set up. can’t just make a blanket statement like that and have it hold truth. Streaming services have gotten a lot a lot better though. Adventure to say they were pretty close. But there’s something about vinyl that is lovely that the streamer just can’t capture.
