Daddy, I just want to let you know that I’m going to miss you. I’m going to miss coming to get on your nerves, just coming to see your face even when you were sleeping. I’m going to miss just sitting with you.
Seeing you take your last breath taught me that life is so short. So I’m going to live life to the fullest and be present in every moment, just like you.

Seeing you in pain really hurt me, Daddy. That’s why I kept coming to be with you I didn’t want you to suffer alone. There were times I came into the room, gave you a kiss, and said, “Hey Daddy, it’s Susan. I’m going to be with you for a while,” and your face would light up. The nurses would say, “Wow, that’s the most reaction we’ve gotten from him since he’s been here.”Oh, Daddy, I’m going to miss that.
I’m going to miss seeing your face and kissing your forehead. I can’t wait to see you again so we can dance, dance and dance! Tell Nanny I love her and give her a big kiss for me.
