Sometimes I can be a lil awkward 😳☺️

Imagine being a little girl with a heart full of dreams, only to be denied an education because of your hijab. 💔
She dreams of becoming a doctor, a teacher, a scientist… Why should her faith stand in the way of her future?

We speak of women’s rights and freedom, yet where is that freedom when a girl cannot choose what she wears?
No girl should have to choose between her faith and her education.

To every girl in Azerbaijan facing these barriers: your dreams matter, your voice matters, and your future matters.🤍

Education is a right, not a privilege. Let her learn. Let her choose. Let her dream.

The Tragically Hip’s 1995 appearance on Saturday Night Live gave us one of the most memorable lyrical slip-ups in live television. Introduced by fellow Canadian Dan Aykroyd, the band launched into “Grace, Too,” but frontman Gord Downie stumbled over the opening line, singing “He said I’m tragically hip” instead of “He said I’m fabulously rich.” He caught the mistake almost immediately, but the moment became part of the band’s history.

The appearance came during the touring cycle for Day for Night, the band’s 1994 album, and marked their only time as musical guests on SNL. Aykroyd had personally pushed for the group to appear on the show, helping introduce a band that was already hugely successful in Canada but less widely known to American audiences. Downie and the band later embraced the accidental lyric change, and he would sometimes sing “tragically hip” during subsequent live performances. A small mistake became a lasting piece of Canadian rock history.

We’ve been through pain and loss
But we keep choosing each other
Today we dance and thank God for this moment 🤍
