“AI is stealing from us...” 🤖

Eric Weinstein questions why people should lose out financially when their knowledge and skills are used to replace them.

He compares AI to overseas labour, explaining how employers can reduce costs by replacing workers. He suggests people should be able to earn licensing fees when their skills and knowledge are used to create value.

Eric argues that AI is doing the same thing by using human knowledge without compensating the people behind it, calling it “out and out theft”.

If AI is built on human knowledge, shouldn’t the people behind it get paid?

Some answers should come with a trigger warning. Even I wasn’t ready for this level of audacity. 😦😱

Months of preparation has led to this

210 miles

A team of 6 (@raul_wil , @maudmrt, @lorraino__ , @darren.chidas , @kya.h2 )

And a LOT of running

Feeling excited and grateful to be apart of the journey with @saucony_eu

@ibbymotosho came to me with the idea at the beginning of the year at an event. Painted out the ambition and what he was trying to achieve

Since then we’ve hit many training sessions, a team weekend away in the peak districts, documented the journey…

And now we’re here 🫪

I know we’re going to smash it❤️

Shoutout @pursuitperformance_ , @unsanctioned.athletics @senditsingleton, @ivanostman , @mareksthalekar for their involvement and support. Wouldn’t be ready to do this without them. Massive team effort and one last push to execute

LFG

@its.saul.brown on the pretty flicks

I’ve spent a lot of my career sharing stories about running. Training highs and lows and maybe most notably: marathon race recaps.

Though I didn’t run a marathon this year, this summer I experienced something much more challenging.

It was a summer filled with uncertainty surrounding my pregnancy and the birth of our son. There were moments of joy, fear, and a lot of moments I’m still trying to make sense of.

I’ve struggled with how much of this experience to share. Some memories are difficult to revisit, and others feel impossible to put into words.

But if I’ve taken anything away from our experience this summer, the professionals we worked with and the countless other families who have tackled similar situations, it’s that, like the marathon, many of us are navigating the same uncertain waters.

So, in true marathon recap fashion, I want to share a multi-part chronicle of my pregnancy, Warren’s birth, and the journey that has followed.

It’s raw, emotional, graphic and at times may be difficult to read. And while we have embraced the difficulties of our experience entering parenthood, I also recognize that parts of our story may be triggering for others.

So, if you’d like to follow along, I’d love to share this chapter of our lives with you.

Double the trouble or double the blessing?
