It was ‘International Bereaved Mother’s Day’ yesterday (3rd May 2026) and for me, a time to reflect and remember our beloved Finn William and my fellow bereaved Mum’s and their beautiful babies and children. It’s truly a club no one wants to be a part of but these women are some of the most bravest, strongest, compassionate women I know and I am so proud to call them my friends.

I spent my afternoon with my family watching a documentary on the amazing life and music of Jeff Buckley (my son is obsessed with his music) and I cried at the end as his Mum played the last ever message he left for her before he died where he praised her for being an amazing Mum and woman. My family then took me out for dinner at my favourite Thai restaurant. Before that I spent time with one of my best friends (who is also a bereaved Mum) who has been there in the trenches with me of my grief over the years and has helped me in ways I can’t put into words.
