POSTS STORIES REELS

A very difficult decision to make 🥺 but I know that I am not in the position to coordinate this massive project this year due to upcoming surgery and an intense post op rehab and family commitments including supporting my son as he finishes his schooling and undertakes his VCE exams.
Thanks to my fellow organisers/volunteers @tiff_r_p and @lanidaisy who help me and @pinchiegram @brookelambden @jacqui_diss from @endogeelong (all while they work full time and with families and other commitments) who have been so supportive of my decision and reasons why it’s not feasible for me to be able to do it this year and who are all totally on board for next year when we will be back in your feed again asking for donations and drop off locations 💕 by @mentalwellnessco

I’m sharing my story today in our local Geelong lifestyle magazine @gtmagazine about my mental health, my family, a snapshot of my daily life and my inspiration for @mentalwellnessco 🤍
****
Also mentioned is information about Monday night’s event with @goodmourningpodcast and @jo.betz and the reasons behind wanting to bring this event to the people of Geelong. Sal, Im & Jo are passionate about opening up & normalising conversations around grief and I CAN NOT wait for you to all hear them talk about their experiences and the people they have met along the way.

If this is something that speaks to you, there are still limited tickets available via my bio, via the link in my stories or simply look up ‘A conversation:with Sal and Im from 'Good Mourning' podcast LIVE’ on Eventbrite, we’d love to see you there 🤍🤍🤍 by @mentalwellnessco

It was ‘International Bereaved Mother’s Day’ yesterday (3rd May 2026) and for me, a time to reflect and remember our beloved Finn William and my fellow bereaved Mum’s and their beautiful babies and children. It’s truly a club no one wants to be a part of but these women are some of the most bravest, strongest, compassionate women I know and I am so proud to call them my friends.
****
I spent my afternoon with my family watching a documentary on the amazing life and music of Jeff Buckley (my son is obsessed with his music) and I cried at the end as his Mum played the last ever message he left for her before he died where he praised her for being an amazing Mum and woman. My family then took me out for dinner at my favourite Thai restaurant. Before that I spent time with one of my best friends (who is also a bereaved Mum) who has been there in the trenches with me of my grief over the years and has helped me in ways I can’t put into words.

Feel free to share your children’s names below on who you are remembering 💕 by @mentalwellnessco

We have a REVISED TOTAL GEELONG!!!
Due to a discovery of some packed bags that were left at a donation drop off point that were put away for ‘safe keeping’ we have a new total for our campaign which is 163 completed and packed BAGS!!!
So proud of our team and our volunteers who made this happen 💕
Look out 2026, we’re looking at you already 👀 by @mentalwellnessco

💕✨G*E*E*L*O*N*G 💕✨
We packed **153 bags** for @mentalwellnessco and @endogeelong 3rd Annual @sharethedignityaustralia *It’s in the Bag* campaign — and we couldn’t have done it without YOU. 💗

Thank you to EVERYONE who donated, volunteered, sorted, lifted, packed, and showed up with so much heart.
Your generosity and energy made this day absolutely incredible.

Because of our amazing community, 153 women, teens, and mums & bubs in the Geelong and surrounding areas will feel a little extra dignity and kindness this Christmas. ✨🎄🎅🏻

To the incredible behind the scenes support crew Tiff, Lani, Rach, Brooke and Jacqui, this would never happen without you coming on board with my idea 3 years ago so I thank you for all of your hard work and support and here’s to next years efforts 😘

Imagine fleeing domestic violence right before Christmas with nothing but the clothes on your back?

This is the sad reality that many will face this December.

But with thanks to the incredible annual “It’s in the bag” campaign by @sharethedignityaustralia there’s something we can all do to help and bring a little glimmer of hope to these victims.

Today, I joined the packing party, which was lovingly organised by Martine from @mentalwellnessco and the girls from @endogeelong

💼👛🎒It was incredible to see the amount of donations of products and bags on the tables today. I think I counted around 150 bags packed!

👉The great news is, you can also pack a bag and donate it to your nearest Bunnings - just head to @sharethedignityaustralia to see what’s required (hot tip - get a fairly large bag and one with a zip so you can easily fit everything in along with a special gift).

Alternatively you can also sponsor a bag at the @sharethedignityaustralia website 💗

@dentalspa_geelong really came through with the goods when we asked if it was possible to get some oral hygiene products for our campaign. They even asked if we wanted some for the kids 🥹
Full disclosure they’re my (Martine @mentalwellnessco) family’s dental practice but it doesn’t surprise me at all as and they’re very professional in every aspect 🦷🪥 by @mentalwellnessco

The amazing Jacquie McLean, the Founder of Project 10 here in Geelong was generous enough to listen to our story and our passion for this project and donate 100 BAGS to our campaign 💕 They are such amazing quality, so durable especially having the zip and extra pocket. The recipients are going to be so proud to have one of these beautiful bags. by @mentalwellnessco

The 3rd Annual @mentalwellnessco and @endogeelong @sharethedignityaustralia ‘It’s In The Bag Packing Party’ is coming together. The organisation over the past few weeks is paying off and the stage is set for another cracking day of community and connection 💕

19 years ago today 11th October 2006, we said goodbye to our beautiful baby boy Finn 💔
He was only 7 months old and had a extremely rare life limiting illness called Allagille Syndrome which effects the liver and because is a syndrome, it involves other organs. In Finn’s case, his heart and his kidneys were also severely compromised. We found out he was sick when he was 10 weeks old.
I’ve never recovered from his death. I have managed to keep on living, have a family, be a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend. Sometimes well, sometimes not so well.
But today I remember my beautiful smiling boy whose smile lit up the room, his fighting spirit inspiring me and others, who passed away on his Papa’s birthday.
My Dad died in 2022, I know that he is with Finn, keeping him close until we are together again 💛🌻💛 by @mentalwellnessco

Second Reel: More photos from the collection of photos taken by the extremely talented Katrina Sullivan from @mj_photography_aust looking back at our amazing day a few weeks ago. How sweet are our biscuits from @thelittlethingsbygeorge for the goodie bags that were the best ice breaker I’ve ever seen 🙊 and the beautiful flowers from @posy_of_the_day_geelong that were for our panelists to say ‘Thank you’ 🌷🌺🌼🪻🌻
Still blown away by the support and excitement from the day from the Geelong Community 💕 by @mentalwellnessco
