✨ The Echoes of Things from Nature ✨
We are pleased to invite you to discover The Echoes of Things from Nature, a solo presentation by Portuguese artist Marita Setas Ferro, presented by the European Cultural Centre Italy (@ecc_italy ) as part of the Personal Structures Biennale 2026 in Venice.
From May 9 to November 22, 2026, the exhibition unveils a series of sculptural works where textile and ceramic merge in a unique material dialogue. Handcrafted crochet, made from vintage and surplus threads, intertwines with hand-shaped and kiln-fired ceramics, creating hybrid forms inspired by marine life and organic structures.
Between softness and density, flexibility and permanence, the works evoke corals, shells, and anemones—exploring the fragile balance of natural ecosystems. Through this fusion of traditional techniques and contemporary sculptural language, the exhibition invites a sensory and tactile experience, reflecting on resilience, regeneration, and ecological awareness.
A poetic encounter between craft and sculpture, nature and memory.
